I know that incubating goose eggs is hard to do. I'm not feeling too lucky about this.
How come your not letting gooses do the incubation for you? and i love your pics especially the one with the lil gosling walking around trying to figure out who it belongs too.

Because they are hard headed and they are too rough on the eggs and they always break the eggs. They are so stubborn.

Thanks I usually put the eggs under my broody chickens, ducks and turkeys and they usually hatch the eggs for me but I want to try incubating a few this year. I know that other people have excellent broody geese but my group is in a class all by themselves. I think they were raised by a pack of wolves. :barnie

Thanks

okay how about some Scovies doing the hatching, unless of course they will be busy hatching their own?

Yep, a pack of wolves but when you think about it, I raised them, so did I just call myself a wolf? :lau Oooooooooooooooooo Miss Lydia, no you didn't go there with the scovies hatching their own. :lau :lau :lau You are so bad. :gig I am hoping the girls WILL NOT hatch their own. I have already had 3 that have tried to go broody. I need ALL of the duck eggs because I have an increasing market for people who want the duck eggs for eating. ;)

let the scovies hatch the goose eggs then.. if you can spare one or two to be sitting.... otherwise. Pete's quide is awesome..... I hatched geese last year and had never hatched anything before that!

I picked the 1st egg of the season on last week and I was going to let one of the scovies hatch the egg. Well, I put the goose egg under the scovy and the next day it was GONE GONE GONE. I think a snake came and got it. The entire egg was gone. No signs of yolk or shell. So now I think I"m dealing with a snake.

So you hatched goose eggs in an incubator?
