Iain- I just saw this thread. Wonderful job trying to save these guys, I hope something works out for you to get them. Would the sanctuary you've been talking to have any vet contacts who would be willing to help you with the health certificates in Cali? Just a thought, good luck!

Is it just me or shouldn't she be offering to compensate you in some way for expenses incurred if she actually SELLING not giving these helpless animals away? I sincerely agree with posting a Paypal address so people can donate. Don't ask people to PM you to get the info- the more steps a person has to go through to donate- the less likely they are going to actually donate. It's proven. That's one of the reasons smart organizations no longer transfer you do another person when they solicit- statistically speaking a lot of buyers/donaters will hang up when the switch is happening because they change their mind. I would even suggest you add it your signature if you can. (you should be able to get an html code paypal button)

All is worked out at the moment. Once I know vet has gone out tomorrow and I get a positive report and total bill, for those who would like to contribute to that expense, if ok with lady, I will post her pay pal info. Then, after I have completed transport and the birds are here, I will be happy to post pay pal for my account for those and ongoing feed expenses.

As for compensation for my efforts, I am keeping 5 of her birds myself. That is my reward.

Iain, I would like to have 2 pairs of the Africans and 1 pair of the Toulouse. As long as they are all breeders I don't mind if they are young. I just need some for my duck pens to help ward of critters. I don't know much about the Africans but its always a good time to learn!!!
