Wing bands go on with a clamp tool, pierce the skin and are permanent. You don't see them once feathers grow in. Butt end leg bands (metal) are also permanent. Both can be basic with just numbers, or custom with name and consecutive numbers on them.

I swear by the SOP. Hubby reads it constantly and walks out to judge his khaki Campbell ducks. Our son is using it as reference for a school project.

Iain, here you go. Fresh pictures from today (9/4) of the 4 pack.

just mowed their space yesterday and flipped the sprinklers back on to bring on the new growth.

Good morning, all. Sorry I've been gone the last two days.... had to take yet another work trip to LA. I did, however, have a "play afternoon" yesterday and went to the beach in Santa Monica where I really enjoyed watching the pelicans. Here are a couple of fun pics:

Celtic, LOVE the pics of your babies. They are starting to develop nicely!

Iain, glad you made it home safely. Thanks on the 4 pack, going to add (gasp people dont follow my lead ok) some top dressing of corn to their diet for the next few weeks. Would like to put more weight on them now without breaking the bank dong so. So mazuri with a top dressing of corn, which wont be continued for very long, but want to see how they bulk out.

You all set for your day of round up?

Thanks! It is good to be home. We are almost ready for the round up. Iain did a wonderful job cleaning up the property, gutting the garage pen, building/repairing panels and gates, and otherwise getting the initial stuff done. All we have to do today is set up two temp pens and then lock everyone up into their respective pens this evening.
