Goose lovers – please help!!

Hey all, I am back from the airport after delivering 10 geese. I am thrilled they are going to good homes, but today was absolutely miserable for me. Saying goodbye to so many at once has had me

all day. Adopters, save their boxes and if for ANY reason you decide you cannot or do not want to keep them, I will pay shipping for their return.

thank you Janet I sorry about 8 that you shipped but I cant say that about the other 2, I am so excited and nervous even more than I thought I would be, we will save the box incase we need to ship other geese but Napoleon and Josephine have a home forever there new condo will be finished tomarro yes we gave her a name already LOL

Thank you! I know this is for the best and the whole purpose of the rescue mission (and these geese truly needed rescuing!!). But it is not something I could ever make a habit of doing. It's too hard.

Jerry, I'm glad you are keeping his name... and I love the name for the girl.

I talked to the guy who is "babysitting" them at the airport tonight. He said they are doing fine and will catch flights out in the morning.

Janet, you have done an incredible job with all of these geese, and we all greatly appreciate all of the effort you have put in. You deserve a BYC Gold Medal, if they have such a thing!! It has been so much work for you and your husband, and now that you have gone to all this trouble you have to say goodbye to them. It must really be wrenching, even though you know it is for the best.

Janet, hope you got some rest last night after the first round up and ship out.

Florida temps next week are not looking good, this morning they predict 90 by Monday again. LoL First day of fall and all. I'm looking forward to cooling off, we have a number of geese who need to ship out to their new homes.

Thank you all for your support and kind words. Donna, you got it exactly. After investing so much of myself to help these birds, it is wrenching to let them go, even though it is for the best. But I still have 58 geese on property (including my own gaggle of 24 geese), so it isn't like my place feels empty.
