It has been a busy day here today. We moved the remaining extra grey ganders from horse pasture into large side yard with Kraftylady's 6 juveniles, moved Funky buff girl into front yard with our gang, moved our buff/grey pair back onto pasture and merged special needs group with our special needs grey adult pair into side yard against house. We also opened up the pasture areas on horse property to allow the dewlaps and africans full access. So far, everyone is adjusting well.

And in an hour, a (somewhat) local lady is coming here to pick up a pair of the grey adult ganders. After they leave today, our numbers will be down to 48. Our property is really looking empty now!

I think we are going to order Bahahia sod for the garden yard (chickens cleared it under the big oak, and for the front where the 4 pack dewlaps are now. We can over seed the new sod with wheat and millet for them in those spaces.

The garden has two apple trees and we are adding a lemon, mango, and papaya tree. Also adding in red and black raspberries and blueberries oh and grapes too on top of the veggies and herbs. Should make for a good gosling grow out area next year. Plus good yummies to toss to the animals.

Have two new stalls ready, one for the 5 pack arriving tomorrow, and one for the adult pair coming on the 15th. Will build their stand alone houses yet, but was easy to build the walls and screw in place for two extra stalls.

No major storms today like we had yesterday. We ended up having the TV, Freezer in the kitchen fried, and 1 a/c unit was seizing from the massive surge. Power company said the main fuse running to our road was melted from what looked like a direct hit.

Front is still over ran with water, but saw some change by tonight in the level. Nice and squishy ground now for sure.

A lovely older couple just left with a pair of grey dewlap ganders. I am super pleased that they went to a very good home, but sad to see them go. I don't know what it is about these grey dewlaps, but it tears me up to part with each and every one of them.

pouring rain out between us and the airport and at the airport. No picking them up early (cant be getting the boxes wet).

Will see them at the butt crack of dawn though. Did call and confirm they all doing fine though and are set side by side by side waiting to transport over here to the island.

We are continuing to get an egg every 2-3 days ( So glad they are Fred's). I really need to get the camera out... Josphine is taller then Napoleon and both are looking great. They no longer run from us... they do however make sure they are out of reach

Morning all, rain is moved off (for now) got the 5 pack home, unpacked and in the garden. They have two pools, two water buckets and all the grass they want. Plus I can see them from the sitting room and kitchen. Two boxes were in ok shape, one was pretty wet (guessing from the watermelon) all were elevated on those plastic mail sorting bins and then taped to them. Not sure why, but we cut them free from the bins to bring them home.

Will be banding them this afternoon, and recording them into the farms book. Hopefully they dont mind the photo shoot and banding too much.
