Janet all on one works for me and makes my paperwork much easier.

Marty coop cups are usually plastic (like solo) disposable cups attached to the cages. (from what I have seen at other shows and pictures from others)

here you go: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/582435/ohio-national-poultry-show-pics Thread from the Ohio show that just happened. Scroll down you will see the floor cages with geese in them.

here is your best in show which you can judge against for body type

You dont wash waterfowl with soap, it wont hurt if you wash with plain water though. If there arent a ton of geese in the show it likely they will place. Of course that doesnt do what you were hoping in having them judged against others. I know a show recently (would have to dig where) had very few geese leaving those that were entered being awarded places because well they were all that were there.

NPIP is all they require here, do you have the NPIP on the Africans? Its not your NPIP from before getting them, its the NPIP performed on them at Janets that you need. I dont have my paperwork from Janet yet, hoping to have it before my inspection though.

it is said that birds not trained to be caged dont show well, and can become stressed.

Most of what you are asking about the show is usually answered by the show steward. Everything for testing required (and if they dont require it I wouldnt go) to when coop in is, to when coop out is.

Ohio nationals just finished up, but havent seen much chatter about the goose classes there. I did see a post about a bird who was gone when the owner returned to pick her up at the end of the show. havent seen any follow up on if she was returned.
She was returned Celtic.

Marty if you have any Oxine ah take it along and spray it often, over top of your birds add a tiny bit to their drinking water too. And everytime you come home be sure to take off all clothes and shoes and wash before going around the other members of your flock, oh and be sure to put on clothes after removing the ones you had on. might be a little nippy outside.

Sage advice, right down to the last word.

Yeah for Spirit!!!! What a great little goose to let the little girl pet him and mever give a homk about it. But then again he was on mama's lap too. Who did you get to do the DNA testing? I'm looking to eventually get all of mine tested for their sex. Yeah for warmer weather!!!! We hit 35 degrees and tommarrow 40,thursday 40 fri-sun they are talking up to 50 degrees. Perfect to start to get the geese used to walking in and out of the barn. Dad has finally figured out what we need to do to make all of my watering tanks with a srain plug, no more lifting for me. We made the first one and I am gonna give it a try tommarrow afternoon for leaks, if one does then use some scillicon to seel it right up. Each drain will cost me 4.oo for each compared to 15.00. I love my daddy as I come up with some idea's and he try's to make it work for me.
