I have 7 four month old African geese. Today one goose suddenly started to have neck spasms and twisting. She stopped before I could reach her, as they are free range, and walked off normally. She just did it again while I was changing their waters. So I was able to get a better look. She lays down on her haunches and then her neck and head keep twisting back and forth almost like a snake. Her eyes are wide and honks a little when I get close to her. I can see the tension in her muscles. This went off for like a minute and then she rights herself and gets up and joins her siblings. She doesn’t show any signs of lethargy or dehydration. They have been flying around splashing in their pools and grazing all over. None of the other siblings show signs, nor with my other any of my other geese ducks or chickens. Any ideas and/or help would be greatly appreciated.
What are you feeding ? Not certain what is going on, but I would be tempted to add poultry vitamins to her feed.
