Two nights ago my goose was likely attacked by a hawk. I found her in the evening and brought her inside. I clipped her feathers near the wounds (one on the back of the neck, one under the wing, and one on the front right side of her chest) and applied bacitracin (without pain medication) until last night, at which time I switched to Blue Kote. She didn't seem to loose much blood.
She isn't eating much of anything (a few meal worms and a few pieces of grass is all she would eat over the last day and a half), but she is drinking.
I just brought her outside to see if she's still mobile (she is walking, didn't want to fully spread her wings), but I notice that she has a huge bulge on the front of her neck. It is impeding her bending down to eat grass. Could this be a compacted crop? She hasn't eaten much of anything for the last day and a half. Or is there an air sack there?
A vet likely isn't an option right now. Any thoughts?
