Once or twice a week.
Thankfully it's often a false alarm.
Usual heart attack specials:
hen sitting on eggs somewhere,
chicken up a different tree,
Gedit or Donk apparently fallen asleep in a dust bath,
rooster had a scrap and sulking on a branch
chicken gone to roost in another coop.

Late night sounds like a woman screaming with a dog bark at the end. Bobcat hunting. Nothing i can do. Except count beaks in the morning.

That would be me. Last time I had a missing chicken, I never realized it until I heard her talking ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE FENCE. She was laying an egg outside under a tree in a little den. Let me see if I have a picture somewhere.
