Gosling eye looks sore?

This is one of the new goslings, they’ve had a few issues ever since they came such as being quite tired and sitting down a lot, but getting more active as now they’re eating a lot of grass and peas and lettuce alongside waterfowl feed… though when I look closer it looks like Walter has a sore eye, this is as he’s half asleep which is why it’s shut, but it just overall looks sore and irritated so I’m not sure what I can do, does this look normal? They’re both Toulouse/domestic greylag goslings btw

Can you flush the eye with some sort of rinse that would be good? No ideas otherwise.

I’ll see if I can xx they aren’t super used to us yet as it hasn’t been a full week since we’ve had them but it should be ok

Yes they have a large boat pond outside that we clean regularly, just cleaned and scrubbed it today actually and they love going in

Maybe you can put castor oil around the eye.
