gosling neck problem question

he will not be able to fly is my guess... I will try to post a picture - his head is large, but he isn't in pain I don't think. The geese are mostly resident canada geese here... they fly back and forth between local lakes, but usually there are geese on any particular lake at any time, this one is big lake so I doubt it would be goose-less for more than a full day. Maybe I can increase his status if I hand feed him in front of them all he is not picked on as of yet by siblings

hey can I get anything like what you are saying, vitamin supplements at petsmart? What sort of chain / box store would sell this?

Feed store or Tractor Supply will have the Poultry Nutri Drench and B Complex the B Complex will be in the cattle section and the dose is 1ML daily. The bottle of PND will have dose on side of the bottle. You can also buy the BComplex for humans at Walmart in the vitamin section be sure to get liquid. Call Pet Smart they may carry.

well, he / she reaches down fine today, monday, to eat. Maybe he/ she will be ok. He doesn't look like any of his nestmates, so he is adopted. I do not see any goslings around that look like him in all the 100 goslings in the area. his head is more square boxy, and probably twice the size of all nestmates heads, his neck looks super thick and muscled when he bends down, he cant be older b/c he still has some fuzz and they are loosing theirs. there are different subspecies of canada goose, some with a boxy head (cackling goose, but they are smaller not larger) - this guy is either a mutant or a different subspecies. his liter is 12 so they stole / adopted someone else's babies. I am less worried now. He seems to like to stand guard, doesn't eat when they are eating as much. I also saw him lead one of his siblings away from the rest of the family and get lost a little bit, his nestmate was peeping and peeping for parents, he kind of peeped a little but stood guard mostly, 2 little ones by themselves. He will probably be an impressive goose later. I would judge his neck to be also 2x as thick as all of his siblings at present

sorry no pics no sd card... he's ok though, and his siblings, I think he was just cocking his head weird the day i noticed him, all day, that combined with his strange looks made it look like an illness. Now I have another problem case, an older semi abandoned gosling that can almost fly, tore his webbing on his foot, so his parents abandoned him and left with the rest. He / she limps but looks to be healing as long as a fox does not get him he will survive... there are plenty of foxes out in this area but several days running he is ok
