Gosling pooping bubbles and something that looks like maybe worms? She is eating, drinking and walking fine. She looks and acts healthy.

I really don’t like giving any of my birds dairy because it makes me nervous that if any trace of it gets stuck in their crop it will sour so I would really much rather not give them any probiotics.

Also something interesting to note: geese don’t have a crop.
They have a modified throat that can expand and work sort of similarly to a crop, but it isn’t a crop and won’t hold food as long.
Geese can get yeast infections like sour crop though, usually as a result of some sort of gastrointestinal issue further down that’s slowing their digestion.

That does look more bubbly than usual but if it’s just the occasional one between normal ones it isn’t completely alarming.
If she’s acting normally then I wouldn’t necessarily treat her with anything, it could be the bedding making her droppings look that way, it could also be her adjusting to the environment, catching whatever bacteria is around which could be causing some intestinal upset.
To some extent exposure is good, kindof like how kids catch a lot of colds in childhood, their immune systems aren’t used to the more common things out there and has to learn to adapt to get stronger.

If she or any of the others start acting off or sleepy then I would start them on Corid. Ultimately it would be best to get some fecal testing done by a vet, that’s the only way to see what microbes or parasites are present and if they’re in large enough amounts to cause a health problem.

What kind of feed is she on by the way? Is she getting probiotics already because that can also cause bubbly loose droppings temporarily.

She is on the bedding I used for my other birds last year. It’s called terramigo . It’s basically natural pine bedding with no oils or anything in it. That’s what it looks like. The store uses it for the birds too and I used it last year with no problems. It also works great as rabbit litter for my bunny.View attachment 3065792

I put all my babies in metal round containers. I don’t know the exact material but it’s metal. I only gave her vitamins and niacin the first day she got her and not any more. Also 20 minutes after that poop she took a solid one. I think she is messing with me. Also she is on purina flock raiser crumbles.

I don't think I'd be too concerned with the poop unless it was happening with every poop and she was acting off. But with a good appetite she sounds healthy, Also when you have warm days take them out for a little while and let them run around on the ground just another way to boost their immune systems and let them have fun at doing it.

I ran out of bedding would straw be alright? My adult birds are on it and they eat it sometimes but they never have any problems. I already put them on it but should I use something else and if so what?

I would get them on shavings again as soon as possible.

Depending on the straw variety it can be a source of large amounds of mold spores and mites, also goslings might choke on the straw if they try swallowing it.

Also I have a question. Last year my female goose died when she was about over a month old and I still don’t know the reason for her death. I had but them in a side pen that my chickens had lived in before and I feed them and watered them, then went in the house for a hour. I went out there and she had a whole colony of ants crawling on her and she was laying on her side, dead. I am not sure if she choked, broke her neck or had something internally wrong with her. I got another one this year of the same kind and from the same place. I don’t know if they are related or not because they breed geese a whole bunch of geese and I imagine they have more than just two breeder buff Pomeranians. The buff is growing and acts perfectly healthy but I noticed she lays down a little more than the other two. I think she is female because the one that is the same age has a different tail shape and is somewhat bigger. She eats and drinks and moves around fine but I am a little worried because of what happened the last time with it. Should I be worried about her? Also would you say female or male? She is the one in the middle
