I have 2 embden goslings just about 5 weeks old.

One is smaller and walks very gracefully and beautifully. It loves walking and even challenging me to power walk(race).

The bigger and chubbier one loves eating and sitting a lot.. it walks normally but when it runs, it turns into a mini truck with legs wide opened.

Has this ever occurred to anyone else and their goslings?

Do I need to correct and help it walk with a closer stance? I can wrap it up for a few days and see but it doesn't like me vetwrapping it yesterday and it tore it off.

niacin is very helpful for leg issues , I have a 2 week old gosling right now with foot and leg issues so I am giving one ML per day of durvet liquid b complex over some treats.

Thank you for raising the awareness. They get nutritional yeast and brewer's yeast in their dry food but lately they have been eating 80+% grass instead of the dry food so I'll get some in their water.

Thank you again.

that’s great.😃 The yeast added to their food gives them a nice boost of niacin, but in the case of a problem with the legs, I would also give the liquid bcomplex.. adding some to their water may help a little, however, is water soluble and a lot of it dissipates and they don’t get very much that way , but a direct dose would be more helpful for the one with the leg problem. I use a syringe (without the needle, of course.) With my two week old gosling I’ve been using a dropper and giving drops carefully one drop at the time into his bill daily . I also squirt some on top of any lettuce, meal worms, kale, or cut grass that I give him. lots of swimming also is helpful to strengthen the legs.
