We had a gosling that over the last 24 hours made very little progress. It had poked through the membrane and was able to breathe though so we left it. Noticed the membrane was dry and hard so I used a bit of a damp paper towel. Huge mistake apparently. With the increase in humidity the gosling was able to get out BUT it was still attatched to egg and bleeding. It is no longer attatched now. I used my husbands pencil thing for when he cuts himself shaving. Anything else I can do. It also has a large lump on its tummy that looks like maybe all its insides are not quite inside yet. It hatched on day 34. We now have another hatching. A tad bit stressed right now. What do I do next for this little one? Anything?

Bleeding stopped and it seems to be doing well. No longer need any help. Not sure how to delete a post though.
