Hi everyone,
I found one of my babies (a gosling, about the size of a Pekin duck at this point, but still peeping) with a bunch of her tail feathers falling out, and on closer inspection I saw a large, bloody and raw spot where feathers once were. I’m assuming it’s due to someone plucking at her after getting upset. She was acting fine and still running and not limping, I tried to put some VetRX on the wound (since I didn’t have anything else on hand) and tried to bandage it but it quickly fell off.
Should I retry the bandage? Or do I need to do something else? Im worried about infection or bugs getting into it, so any help would be super appreciated.

If a picture is needed, I can go out and take one as well. Thank you guys so much

A picture will help.

It sounds like she has been getting plucked or attacked.

Vetricin wound spray would work great at sterilizing the wound but neosporin will work very well also, you just have to manually apply it.
Bugs and germs getting on it is a big problem so it might be a good idea to bring her inside for a few days to keep it clean while she heals.
