Hi everyone,
I have an African gosling almost 9 weeks old.
In the past two days she has developed a weird, squishy bump on the top of her head. (I only felt it to determine it’s texture, after that it hasn’t been squished)
She also has developed angel wing on one side.
I have her in with her sister and some young (4-5 month old) Silkies. Her sister doesn’t have a bump and hasn’t started to develop angel wing.
I give them two scoops of waterfowl food that has niacin and a scoop of just a higher protein feed for the Silkies. The geese prefer their pellets vs the crushed food and the Silkies the opposite.
I have no idea what the bump means or what to do if anything. And as for the developing angel wing, I heard if you catch it early enough you can fix it. This has only shown up roughly the same time as the bump.
Should I be trying to find some niacin pills and giving her some? And if so, how many and how often?
I don’t want her to end up with angel wing if possible. I want her to be able to enjoy her time with her sister.
