Nooooo. I'm going to have to mortgage the house to keep him in lettuce and mine aren't growing fast enough! At least for now he is happy sitting playing in the dogs water dish. It's his favourite toy!

Three eggs again today. Only one colored. I was wrong Mildred is definately laying, found a big red painted egg. The other two has blue on them but not enough to make me think either of them are stormys. I think she was trying to steal them lol so i will start again tomorrow painting some of the other girls.
Maggie and Ethel are either laying some where out of sight or about to lay they felt pretty loose behind yesterday. Im making more nest today to lure more in.

Haha henny moose will be alpha of the goslings you will get! The biggest one is always boss! I always have an alpha gosling (always male and a week or so older then the rest) but this year i will have two big alphas likely since ive two eggs next week ! When i incubate eggs i always get large percentage of females ,i dont mind that but sometimes i dont get a male! But this year ive lots of eggs so hopely ill get a few males from incubating

I got 3 eggs today which is Thursday and 3 on Tueday. So every other day.
I swear those 3 young ganders were my problem. The girls only like the mature ganders.

My one year old Roman Tufted goose Tickles hatched out 9 goslings yesterday. Her husbands -Gimp who has a small tuft but acts very Chinese and Emsley -an Embden are being very devoted and protective dads. Im just so impressed that she hatched all of them out despite an ice storm and colder than normal weather. They are being great parents but I'm keeping watch too.

Haha 8 first year ganders are very rough when breeding at the first time ! Even two year olds! And then theres some that are very gentle

My theory is that the girls were trying to lay an egg and those ganders were catching them while on the nest and trying to breed them, causing them to give up on laying. Ive had young roosters do the same thing to my chickens.

Went out today to do waters and collect eggs. Got 15 more eggs from 4 different nests and females... I also witness my 3 different ganders breeding my girls. I had thought maybe they quit for the season and boy am I glad I was wrong!!!
