I think it´s a No Contest!

I now have one goose with goslings, two geese still sitting, but with pipping goslings, and one more with goslings due in about 10 days or so. There´s one older mix-breed goose that´s sitting on 2 eggs, others are playing silly whatsits, swapping nests, breaking eggs, generally being daft, but I´m not worried about them. The ones I wanted to breed have bred, and there´s just my pied cross-breed female that has been mating with the pied youngster, but today I saw her with the Pilgrim male, which I don´t want to breed with her. She had paired off nicely with the pied male, but recently he´s been so busy showing off to the other males, he´s neglected the goose! Youth, eh??!!

Very interesting!
Can you tell me how on earth do you get died males! i tried for years and closest i got was a gander with brown wing feathers and brown head and rest white ! ( It was a very deep mix and he was beautiful looking with only brown wing(flight) feathers :)
Until two years ago when he was sold :/

He´s the result of a pilgrim gander and a white (I believe she´s spot gene, as her sisters are pieds, also her parents both were pieds, but she has no colour, but was yellow as a gosling) mix-breed female.. this is the young gander..he has white flights too. This is why I´d like him to produce youngsters with his aunt, but he´s just too busy looking cool!

It is hard to get male toulouse(pure orange beak and brown in colour) looking mixes
They always end up being female :) males end up white or white with lavender or lavender
