Yes it will likely be lavender if the neck area gets darker then it is very lavender
OK, well time will tell, so here´s a pic of him today...he´s still a tad yellower than his bro..

and here´s a pic of another 2 I have. I tried to get the bill to show up. Do you think this also could be lavender? It´s the same sort of colouring as the other one was a week back. From a Pilgrim gander with the other pied goose that I bought. Seems to have quite purpley-orange bill. Both of these are very similar.

Did it sort itself out, or did you tape them?

Here´s a rather strange pic of the two little ones today...their second day outside on grass. I´ve put cardboard around their pen to make them feel more secure. The one that had the problem with the belly button is all healed now...it dried up and fell off today, and they´re both walking around without hobbles. All good. Noisy little things.
I took them down with me to visit the other geese today, and they mixed quite happily with the other goslings, ducklings, geese, etc, and then when I walked away they came running after, of course, but so funny to see the reaction of the other geese... They just couldn´t understand why the babies wanted to be with me. so funny. One more very late egg is due to hatch in a couple of days, then it´ll join these two. Hopefully any others will be hatched on time and can stay with the goose.
Can you see that the younger one appears to be a pied.....

Livin that looks like a lavender too! And it is a waiting game till the feathers emerge! You must hope for lavender coloured feathers when they first emerge above the wing and their leg area. But we all now know that lavender goslings from pure breed parents or mixes are always male.
I never seen a lavender female :*

Livin the drooping wing was first taped but the loved chewing on it and managed to break free everytime (smart goslings) no matter how hard i made it for the 2 but eventually the wing was holded up more everyday and is now perfect so they did it themselves :)
