a couple hours off your turn schedule wont mess with anything but youOkay today is the 7th of March and the 7th day my sebbie eggs have been in the incubator. I did the misting/cooling today, but probably not even for a full 5 minutes. Didn't want to risk another 6+hour cooling, lol! But being the end of their first week, I also weighed them and candled them.
Weight-loss is right on track with where it should be. Two of the eggs started out at 5.8 ounces, and the other started at 6.5 ounces. They've all lost right about .2 ounces for the first week, which is right where they should be to achieve the 15% loss described in Pete's guide (although his guide goes by grams, I went by ounces). Air cells still the same, so I didn't bother marking those. And candling shows a pretty wide red spider now. I'm still on schedule with turning, which may change tomorrow as I have a full 10-hour work day!
So right now everything looks normal for where it's at. This time next week, I'll be ready to weigh again, cool/mist again, and candle again. In the meantime, it's back to the chicken eggs and their staggered hatch!
Yeah but that's the whole problem! LOL!a couple hours off your turn schedule wont mess with anything but youI hate when I get off track,lol![]()
