Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

Is there a "how to incubate geese eggs' some where? I haven't been able to find it.... ?!?!

I have a friend giving me mixed breed eggs and I want to make sure I'm doing it right!

Just went out and picked out of the nest 3 more eggs. So have 10 eggs developing in the one bator and have 15 others I set last night and found the 3 more eggs. So will see after I get those three in the bator if any more will fit or if I have to wit and see how many of the 15 will be fertile..?? Then tomorrow put the 3 into the one bator.

I can imagine it was a bittersweet moment for you.

Yay, I think there will be alot of those this year.

Wow ruru your incubator are busy! It sounds like you will get a lot of babies
Serv as I have told you sebs are harder to hatch them and they make it all the way to hatch..... I am hoping I get the goslings I need to fill some of the orders. Out of the first 11 I put in only 6 are fertile and growing. Then the 5, I put in 4 are growing. So have 10 spiders growing.
Now with the new 15 have to wait and see how many are fertile and how many not. Then the 3 I just got today...
I only have 2 incubators but have stuffed the one full and the other I can get a few more in... Now it is the waiting game for the fertility check....

I have two girls broody the one who went in to help the other grey sb to sit on the eggs today. Later on she came out and left the grey sb who has been sitting, she left her. Then when we put them up for the evening she hopped back on the nest with her.

I should have on goose hatching eggs in a few more weeks, Then about 3 weeks for the other girl.. I hope they can hatch some goslings from their long sitting..

Do goose eggs hatch better when using a broody then an incubator? I've heard that they are tricky but jeese! These posts make it sound dang near impossible!
