Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

It looks like everything is clear for take off this Friday. I will have 3 eggs from Ethel and 3 eggs from Stormy going in the incubator. All i need now is someone to hold the gun to my head so i dont set all 25 eggs i have :lau

Im not, i will have enough babies then. DH would kill me. By then i will have a baby donkey and hubby doesnt know im keeping one of the new puppies hehe i will be overloaded with cuteness

i am sad. my girl layer 10 eggs, and we ate two. Of the 8 left, she started to sit in the coop but the boy didn't let anyone else in the coop. So I moved her to a pen we built for a dog. (dog never used it). So, I have a chain link dog pen that is about 6' x8' and the gate is open, and "attached to a run area that is 8' by about 12'. I have a dog kennel in there, and put the same fluff shavings in with her eggs. I put her in there, and repeated that for 3 days. Both Bonnie and Clyde seem to be content in their pen and they are as close as possible to where the ducks and chickens are, while keeping the other birds safe.
My trouble is, she is ignoring her eggs now. and she is not laying any more. I may have messed her up by moving her. Yesterday it was raining and I got some aluminum sheeting to create a "roof" and I am hoping this will help both of them feel more secure, enough to start to sit again. I read somewhere that the eggs would be viable for about 2 weeks. Should I take most of the eggs out and hope for the best? I can put a few duck eggs in there, those will hatch for sure if she sits.

My ducks have not sat either, but I understand why, I did a major clean of the coop and laid concrete yesterday (it will be so much easier to clean) so they are feeling displaced and not so sure they would be safe sitting.

I am considering putting a couple of the goose eggs in a duck nest, to see what happens. I just hope I didn't miss my window this year.

I am going to use the dye trick on my DUCKS! I have a range of ages and I want to hatch from my cayuga mallard mix. Hers are smaller, so that will be easier, but I have a crested mallard that I actually don't want to hatch. Maybe I should add dye to her fanny....orange. I don't like orange. And my Blue Swedish full bred....I can use blue. Cayuga, her name is Baby, so pink. Great idea!

Ok i thinked that one of my eggs pipped ¿
But pipped the opposite side?! Not sure cant see it good enough! I wonder why this happened?!
