Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

So here's some pics for round 2 of "Who's my daddy?" (Where's Maury when you need him?)

Mom is Chinese/Embden. Dad could be: Embden, Chinese/Embden, Toulouse, Toulouse/chinese, or Sebastopol/Tufted Roman.

Also curious as to whether anyone has an educated guess as to gender? Thanks!

Ok this is handy not just for me but for newbie people on byc too :) and i no a man i told ye before that has a lot of goslings every year and a lot get this sickness of walking slow and being very light and their neck not stretched out abd sitting alot but he has plenty of grass and some of mine got that too last year and i know it will happen again so i will show ye this year if one get sick again:)

Yes, serv, I remember now about your friend you told us about.  Well, that blows my theory out the window, then!!     Well, just put some Brewer´s Yeast in their water, might help....or thawed peas!!!!!! :D

Not necessarily, may well depend on the type of grass. Native grasses are probably better than lawn style grass, and lawns like kikuya can cause all types of problems.

I can't stop taking pics yet, lol!

Aww look they have new friends.

That is adorable, did a friend hatch yet? and i say girl but what do I know? eh?

Does it remind you of Missy? Of course, she was older when you got her. What´s she up to now, then?
Well she stayed out side all day and when I put them to bed she went over and got on her egg.

that's what she is up to.

When I returned home this afternoon, my buff broody was off her nest so I raced over and was able to check half of the eggs before she noticed. They were all duds. So, no surprise goslings on the way from that nest. Poor girl will be disappointed.

Nine of my girls are laying now. Got 3 eggs yesterday and 6 today. I only had 5 original girls last year so i raised atleast 4 more girls. I have gotten 54 eggs so far this season.
