Well, the gosling with the infected yolk passed away. I checked him this morning and he is goneNot sure there was much I could really do for him anyway. That yolk was nasty and he had already absorbed most of it and probably had an infection inside. He probably never would have externally pipped if I hadn't done it for him.
Sorry about the gosling. Sometimes things happen it probably wouldnt have made it that far had it been in the nest. Natures way of taking care of animals that just arent right. Its sad none the less. You did eveything you could for him and that is what you have to keep in mind.
