I will be just as bad next year during my first hatching season!
You are pretty close to doing the same thing now with trying to figure out who is what lol that comes with being a goose parent no matter how long you have been one
Lol, you got me. I am horribly obsessed with their genders right now!
I was like that with my first tufted chinese last year. Posting pics asking what it was, then Serv came along and said female...i was happy but still a little iffy, then she was the first to lay this year lol i was dancing lol
:Sometimes i have to catch myself and not call people ignorant lol and remind myself that not everyone is as observant as others. I just get tired of explaining things. Like "No, not all horses are race horses"
"No, ive never been a jockey"
"No those are geese not large chickens"
"No those are guineas not Turkeys"
"No they do NOT bleach the eggs white at the store before before selling them"
2 of my neighbors told me my new geese were pretty, especially the black one. And I'm just like uh huh. Nod and smile, just nod and smile.
Yes! That too!
Ive also had people that claimed to be "organic" real organic people know their eggs, these fakers pulled in my driveway because they saw my sign saying fresh eggs. Wanted two dozen, i showed them the eggs they said Ewwww those are rotten they've done turned brown!!
x2!!!!Haha! I wish there were domesticated black geese!
YAY babies
congrads servIve one mixed gosling hatched its a embden/chinesetoulouse X embden greylag and the baby looks like a embden coloured baby
At easter time i was at the feed store and they had a huge trough full of straight run black australorpe chicks about a week old. A couple in their early twenties were buying chicks for the first time ever. The girl was telling her guy "get the biggest ones i want big eggs!" I looked at hubby and said someones getting a coop full of roosters lol
