Ya'll we have been so heartbroken about losing the lil gosling, and i have some pics of her before I buried her if anyone would like to see her PM me. But guess what I got today?

Never ever found geese in my neck of the woods and look here An American Buff and Toulouse Buff goslings hopefully Missy and Sammy will adopt them, when we got home i carried the gosling out so Missy and Sammy could hear them and Missy stood up and looked under her. But they were both scared of the box so hissing was next, I'll introduce better tomorrow.

When I introduce a chicken hen to a new chick, I sneak them under her at night. Maybe you could try that, and just be up first thing in the morning to see how she reacts when they all wake up?

I know I don't NEED to share good news this time. But I will add to it.

Not about geese again, though. Nor chickens. Nor turkeys.

Nor even birds!

Four months ago, I caught my box turtles mating. Today... I got eggs!!

This time frame is normal for box turtles, who mate when they first leave "brumation" (an involuntary form of hibernation), but don't lay eggs until summer. Of course the incubation is totally different from polutry too. Only 80 degrees, at least 70% humidity (80% is best) for 60-90 days.

And you all thought waiting for geese to hatch was nerve-wracking!
