Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

I knew it! Just so cute that you want to keep them! haha. any excuse, eh? They´re really sweet, enjoy them. You really deserve it.
You caught me.

Honestly I had forgotten how tiny new gozzies are no way those babies are going out there till big enough that a blk snake can't eat them.
I took them out earlier and M&S were much more into looking at them. So hopefully they will fall in love like dh and I have.

Today is a sad day for my family, we had to euthanize 1 of our cats, ShadowKat. She was a feral cat living on the property we bought along with another cat Patches. We adopted both girls and had them spayed and vaccinated. It took me a very long time to partially tame ShadoKat, and she remained very wild. She would occasionally let mr approach her, but no one else. This morning, as I took her breakfast, she didn't get up and move away like she usually did. Instead she meowed at me, like she wanted help. I could tell something was majorly wrong, she was skin and bones and too weak to stand. Plus she didn't tear me apart for picking her up, she actually purred! I took her to the vet fearing she had feline lekemia, her symptoms reminded me of another cat I lost years ago to that disease. She tested negative for that and AIDS. But she was severely dehydrated, her temperture was way too low, and she kept meowing plaintively. The vet examined her, and found only 1 kidney. Her kidney was tiny, but had a very large mass growing on it. It was concluded that she had kidney cancer, and with only 1 kidney, there was no chance to save her. She was euthanized at 2:25 PM today.

This picture was taken minutes before she was put to sleep.

so sorry for your loss. I'm so glad you cared about her even if she was feral. I'm sure she appreciated your kindness

This blindsided us, she seemed so healthy when she came by every morning and evening to eat. But as she hardly ever let us get close we didn't see how much weight she had lost. Not until this morning when she wanted my love and attention. I think she knew she was dying, and that's why she finally came to me. And it breaks my heart that I couldn't save her.

One of my chickens decided he was a goose today and hopped in the dirty pool to cool off. He is a 2 month old black Orp. We just got him, and after what happened with ShadowKat I couldn't help but take the picture. It made my kids and I smile.
