Goslings of 2014 Hatch-a-long

It´so sweet seeing them play dollies. They all have such a strong instinct don´t they? Even some of my ganders will do it.
It was very sweet, I love to watch Missy also take things at her feet and pull them up to her like she is adding to her nest, she started doing this at about 4 months old too. They really do have a strong instinct. I've only seen Sam look at an egg and kinds talk to it. lol

Haha, I´ve had a gander sit on the eggs, another found an egg I´d taken out of a nest and made himself comfy on top of it... so funny these birds....definitely my favourites.

Haha I haven't seen that yet. My favorites too.

My gander gets to the eggs when the ladies get off - takes his time turning them etc then kind of "wallows" on them....

He was most proud of himself the other day when he made one "pop" it was disgusting!
Well that stinker.

Ireland is fine, it will be quiet windy tonight with a hell lot of rain, but Met eireann said that there will be an improvement (i hope!) next week :E.

My 8 month old gander was doing mating signs to my gander 2 weeks older today :S
Swan geese ganders love to try and mate when so young! :/

MissLydia did i read that your geese mated? A bit early no?
serv Sam has been mating with Toots my Buff since she was 4 months old. Haven't seen any thing between him and Missy or Babe yet although Babe was biting his foot last week and he got out of the pool because of it.
