The girls are 3 wks over due, compared to last year, on laying eggs. Unless i get surprised and get one today its hard to tell when or if they will start. I havent seen any signs except they are grouchy but no mating. Still dont know if the gosling is a gander.

My duck hens are ready and willing, doing their little dances in front of the drakes but the drakes take off running lol no eggs from the ducks yet either.
The chickens are starting to lay well again. Atleast im getting some eggs.

Mating with my Scovy's has been going on for sometime but they are late getting into laying this year. just started up and at least 2 haven't laid yet. Geese have been in full swing with both. Chickens are finally getting into laying too. Always nice to get those fresh eggs.

They are, I have 6 goose eggs in my frig. thinking of an omelet lol Ducks are great for baking with too.

We have a nest built. Ive been keeping them penned when i cant be out with them since the dog attack. This evening when i went to feed i found a nest in a corner of their house. Not sure who did it. Its small. They are with the ducks, do ducks build nests? The only laying duck ive owned is my chocolate runner and she liked to drop them anywhere. Im Just trying to figure out what is getting ready to lay.

my ducks normally make a hole in the bedding lay then cover it up... not a real nest like the geese do

That could be what this is. Its bare bottom circled by bits of hay and a mix of duck and goose feathers. Its not a huge mound like ive seen before from the geese.
