So I searched around on EBay today and told my boyfriend about 48 call duck eggs saying it would be cute. HE BOUGHT THEM. Plus 5 assorted goose eggs. He's worse than I am. But now I have 55+ eggs on the way and NO INCUBATOR!!!! Im going to kill him!!!! Quick everyone, what incubator do you use? I don't haveva broody goose unfortunately.

Little giant are easy to find and pretty good. You can get them with all the extras. Most feed stores probably carry them, i know the ones around here do. I have two that i use, they are styrofoam but are sturdy if taken care of. One of mine is 15 yrs old and still going strong. Ive had 32 goose eggs & 24 duck eggs in mine at once. If you get a turner you might not get that many in it. I turn mine by hand i like to be hands on with incubating

How much monitoring/adjusting do they typically take. I know that's a very broad question. I'm tempted to get one so I can load it up with Pilgrim eggs but I sometimes work 12-14hr shifts so got some Brinsea Mini (i.e. set-and-forget) bators to minimize missing big issues. But they're so.... mini!

I used to set mine up a day a head and adjust the thermostat and watch it to see if i got the temp steady, but ive gotten pretty good at it now i can set it up and with in two hours i have the temp right and eggs go in. Its pretty easy the instructions are clear. Both of Mine seems to be still set to the right temps from one season to the next.
In the 15 yr span that ive had these Ive incubated & hatched close 3600 guineas, lost count of chicks, and in the last 3 yrs about 40 goslings and a couple dozen ducks. I used to hatch and sell a lot but now i only do it mainly for myself.

Thanks! I just want something bigger to do fertility checks on the geese because I have a counter full of goose eggs! Have started adding them to the eggs I give folks at work for eating so less stressed over 'wasting them' since the girls are becoming very generous. Of course knowing me I will fill it with anything semi round I find anywhere on the ground... And the feed store was having a sale on LGs last time I got feed. Always a plus!

They are handy little incubators.
Have you tried baking with them? Goose eggs make delicious moist and fluffy cakes. Also really good omelettes

I want to try cooking with them, just haven't had time dolor more than frozen pizza and salad for weeks it seems! Hopefully life slows down at work soon.
