Goslings were shipped today!~PICS ADDED~!

Mine came in this morning around 7 a.m. It was 22 degrees on my back deck this morning and I was kind of worried but all 8 arrived fluffy and cute...I opened the box at the p.o. to ascertain their condition and 8 little heads popped out demanding to be fed...talk about a heart melt...they have settled into their "room" and after eating and drinking a lot of water, they have crashed under the heat lamp and are napping...soaked food, poop in the water, 8 little snoozers...all is well...

I have to keep repeating "my yard is too small for geese. my yard is too small for geese. my yard is too small for geese...."

Cute cute.

Does Winky have an eyeball? Looks like it....is the eyelid not formed right maybe? I had a turkey poult last year that had an eyelid that wasn't formed right, looked somewhat like that....

My other thought is maybe he just has a dirty eye and needs to wash it.... I don't think I've ever seen one get that way that early on in age, usually takes a few more days, but anything is possible I suppose. lol If it is just a dirty eye, it typically clears up when they're allowed to have enough water to submerge their heads.

I see you raise ducks, so that may be old hat to you though.

LOLOL

I have to strike the right balance between garden space and critter space. My entire lot is only 7200 sq ft...and there is a house, garage and shed on that!

well. it is like this Chickenzoo, I sold a number of the Pekin ducks and the extra gander as the boys were getting testy with each other...I still have 21 ducks, which includes all of them that I got from you...but I looked out there the other afternoon and the yard seemed empty...and that darned Ideal hatchery sent me an E about the White China geese they were having a sale on...you know how us gals can not resist a sale...I just had to have some...so here they are and they are a heart melt just as yours are...I have been singing, " you are my sunshine" to them and they all stretch their necks and peep back at me...we are having a sig along about then...I had a woman who wanted four of them and I just don't think I can let her have them...to me they are "persons" and personalities...to her they are just farm animals...geese are so much fun and smart and busy and nosy and they are just my favs...at this point, I just don't think too many is a possiblity...so there you have it...a total flipping addict...
