Got a fox outside the hen house

It was back at some time over night or this morning. I had pushed all the sand back and smoothed it out.

Any suggestions on getting rid of this fox if it keeps coming back?

I'm lucky fox have never tried getting into my runs or coops, I've only lost birds to them while free ranging and very few.
It looks pretty obvious though you have one that sure is going to give getting in for a meal a try.
Maybe try a havahart trap, I just caught a murdering thieving racoon in one a few weeks ago.

I have a Red Fox getting past a key hot-wire perimeter and into barn. I lack resources needed to trap it. I will be attempting to shoot fox from an elevated location within barn using a 0.22 caliber rifle. Best shot will involve fox coming into barn where it will be standing on white gravel. A couple night lights set to make seeing fox easier for clear aim. Fox consistently coming in about 0430 so I will be in position around 0345. In longer term I will be setting up so entrance ways to barn are blocked.

Good luck!

A fox just killed 4 of my chickens this morning...I'm devastated,I raised my flock from eggs!! The fox managed to get into the front fence (it's literally like Fort Knox) It dug under the door... I'm just digging a foot around the entire coop and pouring concrete in.

I dont support killing the fox (at the end of the day, they're only wild animals trying to feed their young)I'm just going to make their efforts harder at getting at my flock).
I do understand your frustration, waking up in the morning and seeing many of your flock killed, first you mourn, then the anger sets in.
You can't be angry at a wild animal, they are just doing what nature intended them to do.I've gone through every emotion,It's not their fault.
