Got chicks in the coop and its raining. ( NOW PLEASE )

I'm no electrician, but this whole thing sounds like one massive fire waiting to happen. I second what the poster said above about buying one decent made for outside. Probably won't cost you more than $20, and you could avoid burning your coop, your trees, your house, and whatever else is around there.

ok guys than. I was trying to look for real heat lamps but bear with me and rememeber i9 live in the bahamas. a =nit olnly are are things rare but we have value added tax. means like in florida a coke soda is for 75 cents here its nearly 2 bucks. So this is al i have . i'm saving to but everything i need and more during my september trip to nebraska opk. And many of u mis under stood. all the spicing was done on sturday before the rain and connected before the rain started so there was no hazard for me. i oly had to plug in sumthing and it blew actualy cuz the bulb was bad not the connection.

LOL.

Bahamas - when you come to Nebraska in September - they will have heat lamps for about $8 at TSC -
BTW - I'm in Nebraska and if ever I get to the Bahamas - I'm not coming back!

also you all should note that where the cords join are cover with protective plastic to prevent rain from getting in.

ps i have to edit the above post as it was also written atrociously
