We'd love to see photos of your handy work! Most BYC actions other than posting (article writing, adding a signature, etc...) open up for you after 15-20 posts depending on what you are trying to do. So post around the forums, welcome in some new members here in this forum and the ability to create an article will open up for you.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!
As a reviewer of hundreds of coops, here are some tips for you when writing yours. You want others to look at yours and think, "I love it, and I can build this!" You can also read a few others and see their comments.
*If you have a hand-drawn "blueprint," include it even if it's rudimentary.
* A materials list is very helpful! Let us know what you used for the base, structure, windows, ventilation, roof, etc.
* Give measurements of the coop, nest boxes, doors, windows, etc., as much as possible.
* Upload lots of pictures within your article, and space those out to show and explain what you've done. By the time we're done reading, make sure we have seen all sides and the inside.
* You can include links to other coops you maybe got ideas from, places you purchased products from, etc.
* When you get chickens using it, you can edit your article later to put photos of them in there as it's a nice touch!
Check here to see if you can post yet. If you can, give it a title, then scroll to the bottom and save it as Draft until you're ready to publish it:
To get back there again, one way is to click the arrow on the Articles tab:
When you're all done and it's published, be sure to enter it in the Official BYC Coop Contest #15 here:

Thank you for all the friendly welcomes. Here's a quick photo of the coop (before I'd cleaned up the jobsite 
). Its another 'Wichita' coop variant. 6'x10', planning to kick off with 4 chickens, and maybe add a few more as the flock ages and slows down laying.
I designed the framing using the free version of Autodesk Fusion 360 (would have preferred to use SketchUp but the free version doesn't let you create a parts list from the design). That sounds very grand, but I'm a novice at construction (and using Fusion 360), so I have lots of lessons learned I can share. Big reason for building my own was the fun of learning.
