Well, I'm bumbling around and have too many eggs around with not enough incubators.
I WAS going to do an experiment with the eggs (I wanted to try dipping eggs in a dilute concentration of chlorox bleach - I saw it at a hatchery documentary and they had a great hatching rate) as well as trying to dip them in a soapy concentration, some dirty eggs cleaned in soapy water and than dipped in chlorox concentration. And then I wanted to try an experiment with old eggs and ones that have been in the refrigerators (in days, eggs up to 1 week old, eggs up to 2 weeks old, eggs up to 3 weeks old, and eggs up to 4 weeks old). I also wanted to try to hatch out "slushy" eggs and some eggs that have been frozen, but I'm only using eggs that Mother Nature decided to play with LOL not do it on purpose! I'm also testing fertility for other people!

Does anyone want FREE eggs to put into their own incubators?
There will be eggs that are old, eggs that have been dipped in bleach water, eggs that have been in the fridge for week 1, 2, 3, and 4, and eggs washed in a soapy solution and then those cleaned in soapy solution and dipped into chlorox bleach. HOWEVER, you may also just receive left over eggs that just need a home.

My goal: get rid of eggs and make them become chicklets!!!

As well as try and figure out if there are any significance in any of these variables.

All I ask is for you to pay for shipping and some of the bubble wrap LOL You'll get 30 eggs (I'm currently seeking out free bubble wrap - the Veterinaries, Medical buildings, Pharmacies, Hospitals, schools and Walmart are getting ticked I keep begging them for bubble wrap LOL) - I think anywhere between $20-$25 is the shipping and bubble wrap should do it.
You could receive eggs from Cuckoo Marans, Black Copper Marans, White Marans, Bantam mixes and Cuckoo Marans mixes as well as some Heavy Mixes assortment. I'm also going to be figuring out if a few farmers' eggs around here are fertile yet so some of those will be fresh, but you're just testing fertility!
Whatever is left over - I have about 20 dozen eggs to be put up for the test this week and next + another 20 dozen to come in tomorrow to help test fertility out (ACK!).

All I ask of you is 1) incubate them! 2) keep me updated on EVERYTHING 3) tell me the end results! 4) send pictures of EVERYTHING!

I only have three incubators and can't keep up with all of them!
All eggs will be marked according (not breeds, just what was done with them).
You will receive at least 6 eggs that are fresh (these are leftovers and/or to test fertility for me)

Also, does anyone know any other way to ship eggs without bubble wrap with GOOD results????? LOL I've had good results that way, but boy, bubble wrap is hard to find out here in the boonies!!! O.o Eh, let me know!

Also, if you've done any of the above results, please give your information! I would like to keep update of it as well

EDIT AGAIN: I found a gentleman who may want his Heritage Buckeye eggs tested on fertility too LOL I'll let ya know!
EDIT: IF YOU LIVE around states bordering KS, let me know, I can ship you up to 40 eggs I believe if not more!!! (Colorado, Missouri, Texas I believe, the state above KS [sorry LOL I really dont know], Oklahoma, Minnesota, maybe even Utah, Arizona, and a couple other places)

I can get you plenty of used bubble wrap if you want to pay the shipping to get it to you. Just pm me if you are interested. I would love to test the eggs for you but I have 50+ babies due to arrive tomorrow so the chicken buget is currently in the red.

HOLY CRAP!!! Really?
I've posted Ads on Nex-Tech, Craigslist, and a couple other sites for Bubble wrap...
I tried Schools (biology department), Pharmacies, Medical Hospitals, Walmart, Veterinarians and just small stores asking if I can take their free bubble wrap LOL All I get is usually "no, but it's for sale over there!" They only sell a small piece for like 6 eggs and it costs $2.49+
I'll PM ya right now

And where do you get your bubble wrap??!!! For FREE?!!

Heck, I'd be willing to drive up to 60 miles to pick up bubble wrap LOL All I get are peanuts, and those are great, but I need the wrap to wrap around the eggs for protection!

What would the shipping cost be? Would it be flat rate? Or do you need a zipcode?

I'd be up for an experiment. I stored duck eggs in my fridge for a month... then put them in the bator...
they hatched!

Oops, just saw this

"I think anywhere between $20-$25 is the shipping and bubble wrap should do it."

Flat-Rate - I get them delivery confirmed and it comes out to about $16.05 - and then I cry when I have to buy bubble wrap LOL
If you live closer to KS, I WILL ship you up to 50 eggs if I find a box big enough to squeeze them all in! And believe me, I'm threatening you with eggs LOL

If you know of ANY cheaper way of shipping, let me know!
People don't know it, but when I sell eggs, if it's less than $10 per dozen; I usually spend the "cash" I make on bubble wrap LOL
I'm so excited, I'm surprising a customer with 30 eggs for her son's birthday instead of the 12 she asked for <3
SO SHUSH!!! She doesn't check here often

I had a buddy dip eggs into the chlorox bleach solution awhile back and they had a 90% hatch rate, BUT I never saw the chicks and I don't know
hmm.png

I tried hatching out 1 1/2 week old to 2 week old eggs last month and had an 80% hatch rate. Of course, 12 of the eggs out of 48 eggs were under 7 days old! The rest were the oldies!

I can't get into Sam's (they suck! haha, well I suck for not having the card) and where in Walmart do they have bubble wrap???!!! I'll go in there (it seems when I personally want something, they're sold out); in that case, I can probably ship out eggs for $20 tops
smile.png

Do YOU want eggs? You live in Kansas, I'm sure I can drive to you with eggs - you can just meet up with me somewhere. You should just take all the eggs for me
smile.png

I'll have 3 incubators running on my experiment, so yup
