Got Eggs? Want to be part of an Experiment?

If you're just wanting to test eggs out, I can find someone around here with eggs

You'll just have to tell me how the hatch goes!

THere are lots of people out here who want to hatch eggs, but don't have incubators (or they don't know how to run one and don't want to learn/have no time - you darn whippersnappers and your technology!) LOL

Or you can do one of those experiments I'm doing. I'm wanting to hatch 'em out for a year, month to month until I figure something out LOL

I live in Ks and cant really afford shipping I could probably meet you in Junction City or Abilene around the end of feb. begining of march and agree to report back with the results but can't guarantee that my bator is working right, I need a batch to run through to test the bator as well so this would be a double purpose if I could join in. I have a 42 egg cap. old square style hova-bator with turbo fan and automatic turner. Just let me know.

HOLY CRAP!!! Really?
I've posted Ads on Nex-Tech, Craigslist, and a couple other sites for Bubble wrap...
I tried Schools (biology department), Pharmacies, Medical Hospitals, Walmart, Veterinarians and just small stores asking if I can take their free bubble wrap LOL All I get is usually "no, but it's for sale over there!" They only sell a small piece for like 6 eggs and it costs $2.49+
I'll PM ya right now

And where do you get your bubble wrap??!!! For FREE?!!

Heck, I'd be willing to drive up to 60 miles to pick up bubble wrap LOL All I get are peanuts, and those are great, but I need the wrap to wrap around the eggs for protection!

If you have any discount stores, like in our area we have Odd Lots, Marc's and Acme. they are all chains that buy out warehouses that are going out of business, I went to Marc's and got bubble wrap for $1.99 a roll it appears to be 15 ft X 12 inches. I think that is a good deal. You just have to keep eyes open at these stores, things go fast what might be there now won't be tommorrow. Just alittle info for all.

I am honestly not trying to be mean here, but if you can't afford shipping how will you afford the feed to feed them?

If you're still doing this my bator will be empty in 3 days. I can set them all by themselves so you don't have any contamination worries for your experiment. Jut let me know.

Hi, My bator is empty. It holds about 27 eggs. I would love to join your experiment group.

I don't mind driving up and down Kansas to hand-off eggs
smile.png
as long as ya meet me part ways!

I wonder if I can use this for my biology thesis???? LOL
Great, that means I'm just insane... (chicken insane) Who would have thought I'd be playing with eggs?
I'd REALLY love to do experimentation with genes, but I'm thinking if people hatch out eggs from this experiment, most will be sold and not kept LOL

I'm really wanting to produce chickens that lay purple eggs (I believe BCM + BO - the light layer of coloring over the eggs produces a purple tint so it should produce a darker tint)
I'll probably be raising those eggs next year
wink.png
so I will be giving out possible purple eggs to test!!! LOL Or the year after!
We've got olive eggers, green and blue eggers, and dark chocolate eggers... why not purple eggers? or SUPER vibrant pink eggers?????

Thats ok it is a legitamate concern, I have another home for them. My cousin whom ,I get my eating eggs from, is having some preditory problems and needs to replenish their flock a little bit so they will go there after hatching.

i have a genesis that will have room for about 35-40 eggs in it. I had ordered 6 bcms that should be here by Friday so they'll be going in on Saturday. Let me know

how you want the payment. I could also do a run for you after this batch if you needed it.
