Got Flogged by A rooster tonight

That is an excellent story!!!! Maybe instead of teaching folks how to school their roos we should have your son go around and school the other kids(and adults) on how to handle a roo!

Only if they feed him too! That child is a bottomless pit.

I must say I am extremely proud of the fact that he doesn't run away scared when he gets pecked. Normally he will peck them back. With his hand of course.

Is there an advantage to having roosters with propensity to attack keeper? If not, then a potential long-term solution is selecting manfighters out of the gene pool. The behavior does respond to selection pressure.
I worked in medicine all my like. Medicine is not just science but common sense. I am not comparing humans to animals but want to say life is not all science and writing up your scientific experience, there are just too many variables in life. The only pure science is mathematics. In general life is not patterned after a science experiment, those are for those who want to spend their life in academics writing thesis. The rest of us need to use common sense to guide us through life and only peruse science in our spare time. if there is any ...........that is:;: spare time

I was reading the thread, got to page 20 or so and could not boot this across the applecart so I had to write down a response. some folks are just like drunks and you can not reason with them. You can not argue with a drunk.

Does anybody think that the keeper's attitude/body language plays a part in whether a rooster attacks or not? What about the keeper's size? Not just comparing an adult to a small child but a large man versus a smaller woman.
My roosters seem to like me as the person that feeds them. They don't stare me down or really do anything at all to me...no ruffling of feathers or anything. So I guess I'm doing alright.
