This guy above had taken 3 of my hens (one of which was "lady"the sweetest hen you've ever seen. She was a lap and shoulder chicken)...it took me a solid month to catch him. He kept taking bait without setting off the trap...until i hooked the bait with a meat hook! So did i feel a bad that i had to shoot him in a havaheart trap? Alittle but him snarling and trying to bite me through the cage made all the difference. "For Lady" trigger pulled.

RIP lady, Congrats on your capture....I never did get the fox that killed 8 of my chickens last year, but after being shot at he seemed to get the picture and I have not had him return (yet). Just a word of wisdom for you....where there is 1, there are more. hopefully you got this one before he shared the news of his chicken feast.

No, sadly theres not much call for pelts or anything here in MD (there are very few people that even have birds anywhere close by to me). Though through a spark of luck, My boyfriend who lives in Cecil-tucky (MD inside joke..only country country part of MD), knows a guy that will pay $15 for a fox pelt.
