got my breeder pen almost done !..

Believe me I know about predators...this pen will not be out in the open like the other brooders I have made from 1\\2 inch wire.

very nice. that will certainly make for easy feeding and watering. i like when everyone has equal amount of space too... they will like it im sure

Very nice pen.I would tie a piece of foam were the eggs roll out so it gives them a nice cushion. What are you going to cover it with? And what are you going to put in between the top and bottom? Are there pans that fit between them? Also in case I missed something, what species are you raising?

thanks, That is my very plan to make feeding and watering and egg gathering as simple as possible.

thanks Tony
If I get eggs that are cracked or dented I will put something at the lip, but I really don't think that will be a problem(I am going to wait and see). It will probably set it up in the barn. Yep, I have trays that go between the top and lower sections(if you look very close at the pic you can see the space for the trays, space at the front is 4 inches and the trays are 2 inches high). The height of each pen is 12 inches at the front and 10 inches at the back. I have coturnix and bobwhites.

Thanks Tikkajazz94 , I am hoping it works out great.

Looks nice and functional.Well thought out.It is sectiond off (with What?) can't tell in pic is it sheet metal? Another ? is it rigid enough to pick up by each end and carry (empty of course).Or does it need support?Bet you got the Hand shake from hell after all those clips.Great Job!!!...cva34

Thanks cva34, The sections are thin sheet metal, and Yes, it is very rigid(I was worried that it would not be rigid enough and need support but it is very strong) and it is not very heavy and I can pick it up(at the middle) and carry it by myself. My hands sure do feel stronger.
