I just love them! I could sit and watch them all day! I think I decided that one is an easter egger. I got some chicks with marks on their heads. Why?

Your doa is very good for this time of year. I ordered from MM last spring no doa and none died the first week, I ordered like 45 chicks they gave like 3-4 extras.

Getting chicks coming in early April but it's not from MM this time it's from a good breeder.

Yes. I was quite (pleasantly) surprised by my doa after reading some horror stories here, but I was lucky. My order was for 30, I got 36. 3 were dead doa but the rest are great. I've got 33 right now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and doing my best to care for them. I think I will still contact MM about my doa in case they were the pullets I paid more for.

You can't do anything to hatcheries after 72 hours of having them. So if you wait like a few weeks to find out the sex it's to late.
