Got my federal tax refund today!!!

Like Katy, DH & I are self-employed and we don't get a refund either. We wait until the last possible moment to file.

For those getting refunds, enjoy them!

d.k :

*If you sell eggs-- that should mean that you can deduct chickens & chicken expenses-- right???

d.k. I asked our H & R Block lady how we could make this farm pay for itself...if I could claim the poultry? She said I had to show a profit of $600 to file a claim form for the farm expenses for the poultry. I would have to sell a bunch of eggs to do that. ha ha

Have fun Southern!

We received ours weeks ago and paid bills. No fun in that.

I'm looking forward to the Stimulus refund though. I plan to re-do the bathroom shower, have the carpets steam cleaned and add a patio in the back yard. Maybe a trip to the coast if I have much left over.

Hi All,
I spent mine on a new chicken fortress and chickens.(chicken coop still in the process of being built, just waiting for snow to melt.

Happy spring,

I also have to pay in... no refund here...

But I think of it this way, the longer the money is in my hands, the more interest I get on it, rather than the gov't taking the interest and giving us the "refund" as a pat on the back.

I work as a receptionist at H&R Block
(we always owe as well DH is self employed), Don't wait even if you owe this year, the irs is sending out the stimulas money based on your 2007 return and you need to have to have it "PROCESSED" by April 15, for the first round of payments. They will be mailing them in the order of the last two digits of your social security number. I'll be sending mine off this week.

same here, no refunds for me....

either baby momma somehow manages to get it or it goes to student loans...I guess they'll take my "stimulus" check too
enjoy yours, Southern

*that's kinda odd, though, cuz she was telling you to set it up separately-- everytime we've done something "on the side", like crafts or avon or whateuer, we just put it under "hobby income" and took whatever deductions up to the profit point. . Maybe it's cuz we're not self-employed.
