Got my first chickens ! UPDATE: my first egg!!!

I got two Easter egger hens on Saturday. I decided all the names of my chickens are going to have a noisy or musical meaning, because 'hen', 'cock', and 'gallinaceous' all come from words meaning 'noise' or 'song'. Enough of my nerdiness. Here's the chickens:

The first night indoors:

Very pretty hens!! Congrats. They look to be laying age...are they???

They are laying age - about a year old. Though they're molting right now, so not laying. I am going to put a timed light in the coop to try to get them to lay this winter because I want eggs!!!
