Got my first eggs!

Okay, so I'm really not an egg person and I'm wanting some new babies to hatch. My hen laid her first egg yesterday and second one just a few hours ago. I pretty much need to know everything as far as what I should do for her to nest them and get them to hatching into some new babies.

Congratulations!!! Let nature take it's course. The hen will know what to do. Leave her eggs in the nest. OR you can do what I did. LOL and get an incubator to hatch them yourself. But, you have the mommy there, so let her.

if she is a pullet and these are her first eggs I wouldn’t try and hatch those. Are you expecting her to hatch a clutch of eggs because she might never go broody. You might have to use an incubator if the eggs have been fertilized by a rooste.

I just found two eggs; the first. I'm not even sure who is the hen; but I know I have a rooster I hear him; but he is very quiet for the most part. So much so, I don't know who is who. Will these egss hatch? They are cold.

Some breeds are setters meaning they will sit and hatch eggs. Some breeds aren't so they will just lay eggs but never sit and hatch them. Do you know what breeds you have?

My hen that laid the eggs is a splash Maran. My rooster is a cochin bantam and my other two hens I believe are sebright. I'm not completely sure to be honest. If I post a picture could you take a look at them?
