Got my first pip today doing dry hatch. Method

Well no more chicks have hatched so later today I will clean out the bator.

Sadly the last chick does not seem to be doing well. This morning the other three are alert and moving around in the brooder but this little girl was only sleeping. I put her back into the bator to give her a chance to survive.

Can you get some Nutridrench ? If not try mixing up your own electrolyte mixture of molasses (or corn syrup), salt and +/- b vits. I wish I had a proper recipe or ratio for you but I just eye ball it. I can give you approximate amounts if needed.

Sounds about right. I add a few extras depending on what I have on hand. I also use a similar mix for my goats post kidding. Good stuff.

My littlest chick is doing much better this afternoon. I'm going to clean out the bator tomorrow after the kids leave for school. I've decided not to open the rest of the eggs.

Thank you, I now have a total of 4 hatched. I am still waiting on the leg bar eggs but I don't see any thing happening. I will wait a couple days since they don't smell so maybe just late. Total was day 21.
