Got my Great Pyrenees today!

Pics
Right.
Maybe I should have spelled my sentence out better.
Maremma wander less(more likely to stay home)...and they bark less.....than Pyrenees.
Okay..?
The LGD come in three different personalities. Either stay with the flock, perimeter runners or Loud barkers. Not known for training easily. Think for themselves.
Independant Dogs.

My youngest loves the puppies. He follows them in to the crate and closes the door!

Do you have a perimeter fencing to keep them home?
Do you plan on having other livestock?
Yes and yes. Currently the perimeter is all electric fence, and we are adding physical fencing as fast as we can too.

We will add ducks this spring, and goats once our youngest is big enough not to get hurt, and maybe pigs.

I bought my ball of fluff last year in hopes of him living with the chickens. He is now a 100 lb ball of fluff who wants to eat the chickens.I didn't do the research before buying the breed. They are different than any breed I have had.He will live separate from the chickens and hopefully his fearsome bark will keep the fox away.
