Got one, more to come!?

You should bring the duckling inside the house to keep them safe from other ducks. And take lots and video of cute, fuzzy widdle duck babies because I'm just addicted to that stuff and I need my fix.

Oh I will do! Ok, hers what’s weird..today I found two eggs..different spots, but only a foot away from each other. But, the duck I thought it was...didn’t stick around....maybe I missed one egg yesterday because it was behind their heated water bucket...but, then all the ducks came right back in due to our big snow storm...and two ducks acted like they were looking for them?? A khaki and the same Muscovy...I added a lot more hay/straw....and they seemed to love that...if they are going to hatch these eggs...do they leave them ? I thought maybe they would leave for a tiny bit...but these girls left the barn....hmmm...maybe they don’t want to hatch them...bummer...

Lay the 2 ducks together? or the eggs? If it's 2 different ducks laying and they have made their nests in a safe place I wouldn't mess with them. I know my Muscovy are very private with their brooding so privacy for them is best.

Well, I can’t tell which duck is laying..I think it’s the all white one in the pictures..she’s acting funny, and sticks around more in the barn. But I wanted to know if I should move the eggs together since she lays them about a foot apart every day..it’s probably because all the ducks take her spot that she chooses when she sneaks in to lay? I’m just confused since I’ve never had eggs...:)

I'd just leave them alone if you put them together someone will probably go in an rearrange them. But try it and see what happens. You sure you don't want to wait till warm weather like late spring for ducklings? Sounds like it's not a very good time right now with your temps and snow.

I don’t know.... I’m just excited... I’ll talk to Chris and see if he thinks we should wait... but he was excited too ... I would definitely take them into the house with a heat lamp as soon as they hatch

Last night I left two eggs in the barn...this morning there were two more, but one was broken. The one was a lighter color. Does this mean I have two layers?? And Pearl, the one I first posted the pictures of, is staying close to those eggs....
