@ poultry - I think it was a prolapse (just learning here though...) It kind of looked like it's intestines were coming out of its butt.
It was really woobly and seemed like it was drunk from the moment I got it home from the store. Then I turned it over and saw the "stuff" (intestine-like thing.) The other chicks starting pecking it until it was bleeding. We separated it from the others right away, but it didn't make it through the night. I guess that's the way it goes. But you better believe the next time I get them from the feed store I will check them out thoroughly before we leave the place (a sales associate was the one to put them in the box for us). I would have probably caught it before we left if I had checked! Rookie mistake!
