They are cute but what caught my eye was your reference to the post office. Over here you can't send any livestock through the post and my local post office which is staffed by "mrs grumpy pants" would probably call the police if ducklings turned up! I want to live in Texas.

We almost got runners, I think they are neat looking birds. When we started looking into backyard birds we were suprised to find out you could get them mailed to you!

About 5 years ago we started seeing rabbits around the place - not jackrabbits but cottontail - I'm guessing it was an abandoned pet. We see one or two on a regular basis now, especially since our dog Bubba passed last year. They like to stay under our outbuildings and we toss old greens in the yard for them. A few months before we got our ducks my wife watched a Mexican eagle eat one of the bunnies in our yard.

The ducks & rabbits don't seem to be afraid of each other, usually they'll just stare until the rabbit bolts. Finally had the camera out this AM and caught a little of it.

That is to cute! My khaki is very fond of the animals that come onto our property and the animals don't mind either. She has touched and seen, A deer, Several rabbits that love her, various wild birds and a squirrel that liked her but she hates all squirrels. The most precious to me was the deer. I had the priviledge to sit from the window and watch as the deer came right up to her in her pen and touch her. My camera battery was dead
