Also the males have a more upright tall posture, longer legs, and are always on the defensive and on the look out, while Hens are more low to the ground and usually sport a "bustle" or hump/lump on their rear end area between their wingtips. Search for "bustle" on this forum's search option up top on the right, it should pull up a thread with pics. The 2 syllable buck-wheat call is fail-proof tho. The males do NOT make that 2 syllable call, ever.
