There are a couple of different ways to tell:

First, their sounds are different, Boys say "chi chi chi" a one syllable sound. Girls say "buck wheat buck wheat" a two syllable sound.

Second, the way they look, the Boys wattle will be more like if your hand was cupped, the Girls wattle will be more flat and smaller.

Also the males have a more upright tall posture, longer legs, and are always on the defensive and on the look out, while Hens are more low to the ground and usually sport a "bustle" or hump/lump on their rear end area between their wingtips. Search for "bustle" on this forum's search option up top on the right, it should pull up a thread with pics. The 2 syllable buck-wheat call is fail-proof tho. The males do NOT make that 2 syllable call, ever.

i do the seperate and listen . put the group in one pen leave them for a while than take one out at a time let it go and it will run off and call call call than you know its male or female it works for me than give it a min and it will be back at he pen trying to get back in than catch and band pink or blue zip tie left leg pink female right leg blue male

Sounds good to me. When i start over its going to be a crapshoot Thirty keets odds are there will be a 50 50 ratio. I know Peeps keeps more females than 4 to one. I wont be getting more keets till the poultry house is done. I would be happy with a one to one ratio.....
