Yep, it went something like that for him as well, she had "witnesses" who worked with her (which I think is a conflict of interest) so basically she got a new car and a nice settlement being that she was 8 months pregnant.

I had to click back to this thread when just as I surfed away , the corner of my eye caught the OPs name.

I used to work with a guy who had that misspelled on his tattoo, on his arm. "Rebal Cowboy". He wasn't the one to notice the mistake.

Rebel Cowboy was my CB handle I picked at around 13 or 14. Now half the people I know call me ether rebel or cowboy.

Is that you walking from the truck? If memory serves, aren't you a volunteer fire fighter? I'm just wondering if you were able to get close and see the damage. Looks horrible, don't know how you could of even breathed in that!

Yea, thats me. I was a firemen for 13 years but don't work for them any more. Just like in the video, everyone knows me enough that I can still jump in an help.
As I told someone there that asked the same thing. "carrying a radio and a revolver people assume your supposed to be there an just let you do what you want"

The top floor is gutted an most of the roof gone but I dont know how the main floor looked. I didn't go in. I'm sure it all at leas was badly water damaged.

So they never knew the origin of the fire?

Major damage and I dont think they will be able to salvage anything at that point. Probably slated to be bulldozed down and rebuild if the owner wants to. Just a beautiful home!

I try to stay out of politics but here is my understanding of fire investigation in Ga.

Ga has a state fire investigator but I have only seen them a few times. Almost every time was when someone died.

Years ago when I started with the FD as a 16 year old there was a county fire investigator. I only remember meeting him once. I was coming out of a burning house to get some air. We were "carpet suckers" back then. Anyway a car had pulled in the driveway an a man was getting out. I used his hood for a seat. Ha came over to me, wrote something down an said "glad I got here to see this, this one smells electrical to me." (May not be word for word but something like that.) Then he left. I later found out he was the fire investigator an was well known as "Smells Electrical." If I ever heard his real name I do not remember it. This explained some things for me. A few years before, 3 homes on family property were burned by someone but the report on all said electrical even though one had no power at all.

The state guys we have now are smart an I enjoy watching them work but they are coming 3 hours from Atlanta I think an there is some kind of rules as to when they actually come out.
